Fables, Folklore and Irish Storytelling
A good story is a powerful thing; stories take you to far-off places, bring you back in time, inspire, amuse, and, in many cases throughout Ireland’s journey, help change the very course of history itself.
Join our Dublin Mythology & Folklore Tour, and take a journey through these great Irish stories – from the ancient legends of Irish mythology to the strange and often macabre underbelly of Georgian and Victorian Dublin, right through to the beloved real-life contemporary characters of the city.
The mythology and stories of Ireland have put Gods in their heavens (and taken them back out again), kept schoolboys off stairways, warmed the hearts of a nation, and even helped topple an Empire. This truly unique city tour of Dublin will give you a whole new perspective on Ireland, her history, culture, and people.
This is the only walking tour in Dublin of its kind, book your spot today.

- Had a great time listening to James; he was both informative and entertaining and a lot of history in just 2 hours! Dmo9/28/2025

A highlight for sureJames Russell9/21/2025We did the Dublin Music Tour and it was an absolutely brilliant way to see some main sights of the city. Sean was our guide and talked us through some really interesting history while performing some Irish folk songs with stories of their own. We laughed a lot and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Dublin! Thank you so much Sean!Lea Allen9/21/2025
- Did a Dublin walking tour yesterday with Alan as our guide, the history & information he shared about the various points in the city, he made so interesting, was really funny & engaging, took an active interest in where others on the tour where from when walking from stop to stop, and discussing similarities or shared experiences etc. was a really great tour would 100% recommend it!Sarah A9/21/2025
- Ciaran was an incredible guide. Funny and knowledgeable. I look for haunted walks on all my travels and this was one of my favourites. A must!Sabrina Cabral9/19/2025I just took a fun and informative tour with Alan visiting from the US and it was well worth the time. Alan’s encyclopedic knowledge was impressive but never imposing, providing the perfect mix of education and levity. My partner and I have taken maybe a dozen similar tours in various cities and we agreed immediately that Alan was simply a cut above. Highly recommended. Thanks, Alan!!Eric Graf9/19/2025
