About Us
Original Dublin is a local tour company formed in Dublin City in 2022. Before 2022 we spent over 10 years crafting exceptional visitor experiences in Dublin. We felt there was space for a new model within Dublin tourism. We created Original Dublin to be a new kind of tour company, a guide collective.
Our collective model ensures that every guide who works with us has a say in how we run the company. Our guides’ interests are always put first. We put honesty, integrity and community at the heart of everything we do. We see Original Dublin as more than a tour company. We see it as a cultural community of passionate and creative people. A home for anyone who wishes to express something about Dublin, past, present or future.
Though there is no hard rule saying that you have to be an artist or a creative to work with Original Dublin, most of us are. You can find us performing at fringe festivals, and working as stunt doubles on popular tv shows. You can find us on the many stages of the capital performing as musicians, actors, or comedians.
Unlike many tour companies operating in Dublin, we are an Irish-owned company. Our sole focus is on Dublin, its people, its characters and its place within the wider story of Ireland. We launched five Dublin walking tours in our first year, and have many more in the pipeline. We have a 5-star rating on Google with over 2500 reviews. We won the 2022 Freetour.com award for ‘Most Original Tour’. We also won the Platinum Award for ‘Event Storytelling’ at the 2022 Eventex Awards.

Interested in Working with us?
We’re always open to hearing from anyone with a keen interest in local culture, history, hospitality, tourism, and/or media. Qualifications are not the main thing we look for; we want to work with sound heads with a passion – whatever that may be!
Training is provided for those interested in pursuing a tour guiding role, and guidance is available for achieving official tour guide accreditation.
We are also interested in hearing from people with a passion for content creation and digital media within the Irish, and especially the Dublin cultural space.
